It is hereby notified to Non Resident Indian (NRI) that those who desire to seek admission to First Year of Four Years Degree Course in Engineering/Technology in the Dattajirao Kadam Technical Education Society's Textile & Engineering Institute, Ichalkaranji to any of the following course may submit their application to this Institute immediately. Admission will be restricted within the sanctioned intake of the course.
  1. Textile Technology (Accreditated)
  2. Man-Made Textile Technology (Accreditated)
  3. Textile Plant Engineering
  4. Textile Chemistry (Accreditated)
  5. Electronics Engineering (Accreditated)
  6. Mechanical Engineering (Accreditated)
  7. Computer Engineering
  8. Information Technology
  9. Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
Definition of Non - Resident Indian (NRI)
As per Income Tax Act 1961 an individual is Non-Resident for income tax purpose, when he is "not a resident "or who is "not ordinarily resident" of India. A person is treated as " not ordinarily resident " of India when the following two conditions are satisfied.

1. If the person has not been resident in India in nine out of ten preceding years

OR

If the person has not been in India for a period of 730 days or more during the preceding seven years.

2. A person who is Non- resident in India or Not ordinarily Resident, is taxed in India only for his/her income in India. Such a person is not taxed in India for his Income at abroad.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification
To be eligible for F.E. admission, the candidate should have :

  • passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • secured minimum 50% marks i.e. 150 marks out of 300 marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • appeared for the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together and passed in the same sitting(i.e. with the same appearance or attempt)

FEE STRUCTURES
Annual Tuition Fees and Other Fees as prescribed by the Government for NRI candidates are as under :
Tuition Fees: U.S. $ 1900 Per annum.
Other Fees:

  1. Development Fees : U.S. $ 1000 Per annum
  2. Gymkhana Fee,Library, Internet, E-mail, Annual Indian Currency Social etc.: Rs.1195/- Per annum
  3. Library and Laboratory (Refundalbe,to be paid Caution Money Deposit only once): Rs. 500/-

Aspiring candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria as mentioned above shall directly contact to the Principal, D.K.T.E. Society's Textile & Engineering Institute, Ichalkaranji for admission. If any seats available for NRI candidates remain vacant, these seats will be offered to any candidate fulfilling eligibility criteria.
