1. Activities carried out IN the department (under TEQIP)
Development of new laboratory “VLSI & Embedded Systems ” which cater to the requirement of VLSI basics and Embedded System Designing & development tools, Programming concepts. The lab is well equipped with various industry oriented developing & debugging tools like Active HDL, keil, cross ‘C' compiler CAD & Matlab etc. Along with this VLSI & Embedded Systems design hardware trainee kits are also available with required peripherals.
Department organized many activities under the networking of Institutes. Networking of Institutes is small cluster where in which the institutes under networking interact with each other in many areas like faculty exchange, visiting lectures, laboratory developments. Video conferencing, course material creation, seminar, conference etc…Dr. J.V. Desai is working as co-ordinator of networking of institutes.
The department regularly organizes several seminars and workshops to enhance the skills of both students and teachers under TEQIP. The list of few is mentioned below:
A 5 days Work shop on “Design & Development using Embedded Systems” from 10-14 January 2006. Prof. S.A. Patil of Electronics department worked as co-ordinator of this programme. 23 participants participated in this workshop .
A 12 days labs workshop on “TV servicing & maintenance” was organized from 20-01-2006 . Prof S,D. Gokhale worked as co-ordinator .30 participants attended the programme.
A 15 days Short term course on “ASP net Programming” was arranged from 02-16 May 2006. Prof. S.M. Karmuse. 23 faculty & staff members attended the programme.
A 2 days workshop on “Introduction to ARM core based micro controller” on 18 th & 19 th August 2006 .
