TECHNOGLIMPSE
With the objective of creating awareness among the budding engineers, in the area of research and gather information of latest technology in respective fields, the department of Mechanical Engineering is organising the National Level Paper & Software Presentation Contest 'TECHNOGLIMPSE ' for undergraduate Engineering students. The response from all over India is increasing every year. Papers are selected every year from variety of areas from production engineering, power engineering, design engineering, management and interdisciplinary subjects including case studies.
The department also organises various workshops on latest developments in mechanical engineering for encouraging industry institute interaction.
MESA (MECHANICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS ASSOCIATION)
MESA is a forum which actively involved in organising various co-curricular and extra curricular activities for the benefit of students with the objective to development overall personality of young graduates. Activities cover Group Discussions, Brain Storming sessions, Aptitude Tests, invited eminent professionals Guest Lectures, etc. Also organization of various functions like Teachers' Day, Engineers' Day is done with great enthusiasm.
IEI Students’ Chapter ( Institution of Engineers, India )
In Mechanical Engg. Department, this Students chapter is functioning, which organizes various students centered activities like Quiz, Debates, Aptitude Tests and Seminars.
SAE-INDIA Students’ Collegiate Chapter
SAE ( a worldwide organization – Society of Automotive Engineers )
Recently SAE Students Chapter is constituted in the department. The members are participating in various events organized by SAEINDIA. This club has definitely generated interest among the students in the area of automotive engineering, which is one of the major area for Mechanical engineers to groom their career
Renewable Energy Club
Energy Club of Mechanical Engg. Department is constituted under support from MEDA (Maharashtra Energy Development Agency) and initial funding through Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy, New Delhi . The prime objective of this club is to create awareness among the budding engineers, about the energy crisis, brainstorm various ways to conserve energy and also propagate alternative energy sources. This club is contributing towards enhancement of responsibility within young technocrats for energy.
