INPLANT TRAINING

All undergraduate and diploma textiles courses are designed with sandwich industrial training as a part of their curriculum. Training and placement department carefully plans their inplant training. The programme has basically the following components.
1) Orientation Programme.
2) Industrial Training in Industry.
All undergraduate B.Text. (TT/MMTT/TPE/TC) are deputed in reputed organizations for the period of four weeks each after completion of Second and Third Year. Total duration is Eight Weeks.
All D.T.M. students are deputed in Third Year of their Courses for the period of 10 Months.
During training every student have to maintain Daily Diary.
3) Report Writing and Evaluation.
Every year, 400 students are deputed for Inplant Training in all the parts of the country.

RESEARCH AT AACHEN ( GERMANY ) :
Mr. Amol J. Patil, B.Text.(TT) our ex-student completed his M.Tech. at IIT, Delhi . His research at ITA- RWTH-Aachen , Germany was a resounding success. His subject was interactive Textile Keypad during Sept. 2003 - May, 2004. His guide & supervisor were - Prof. (Dr.) Manjeet Jassal 'IITD & Mr. Nils Schedukat of ITA Institute, Aachen . The Keypad is an important part of 'Smart Textiles' which provide sort of personal area network (PAN) on wearer.

Ex-student Mr. Sandeep S. Sapre was deputed form his parent Company M/s. Tessitura Monti Industries Pvt. Ltd., Kolhapur to Italy for quality control training.

HIGHER STUDIES ABROAD :
Our students with an extraordinary technical talent were admitted in Foreign Universities for acquiring master degrees.

Mr. Pankaj Sarda has joined University of MassaChusetts , Dartmouth USA for his master studies in Textile Chemistry as major. But to his academic excellence during B.Text. he received research assistantship of USD 25,000 by Prof.(Dr.) V. Kim of University of MassaChusetts .
Miss Poonam Chitnis has also joined University of MassaChusetts Dartmouth USA for here maser studies in Textile Chemistry as major. Her extraordinary performance during B.Text. has fetched her scholarship at the University.
Mr. Suresh S. has got admission for M.Sc. in International Fashion Markerting in Glasgow Caledenian University , Scottland , U.K.
Mr. P. Arvind has joined Texas Tech. University , USA for acquiring Ph.D. in Medical Textiles.
Mr. R. Anand has joined Philadephia University , USA for master studies in Textile Engineering.
Our Ex-student Mr. Guruprasad S. Shetty, working in S. Textravellers as Application Engineer belonging to B.Text. (TT) 2001 out going batch has co-authored a book 'Non Wovens' during his M.Tech. studies at P.S.G. Tech. Coimbatore which has been brought out by Mahajan publishers. 'Congratulations'
