DKTE is one of the preferred institute by the most of the textile organizations for the recruitment of textile Diploma, Under-graduate and Post-graduate students. Training and Placement Department is actively involved in keeping liaison with industries, for arrangements of industrial training, summer internship and campus interviews. Department provides information, counselling programmes to clarify career goals, identifying pathways by conducting orientation lectures and counselling programmes.
For overall grooming of the students, Campus recruitment training Programme (CRT) by external agencies are regularly conducted from the fourth semester to seventh semester. CRT programme consists of Vocabulary Building, Listening Skills, Speaking Skill, Writing Skills, Resume Writing, Interview Techniques, Quantitative and Logical Aptitude, Mock P.I., Mock G.D. On-Line Test practices, etc.

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING:
Industrial training is a very important part of professional engineering education. All B.Text. (TT/MMTT/TPE/TC/FT) students are required to undergo industrial training at the end of each fourth and sixth Semester for the period of total eight weeks and Diploma (DTM/DTT/DFCT) students are required to undergo training for the period of four weeks after Fourth Semester.
Training and Placement Department take initiative and interacts with textile industries. Due to the close liaison, with more than 300 diverse spectrum of textile industries like Spinning / Weaving / Knitting / Machinery Manufacturing / Technical Textile / Garment Industries / Non-Woven / Yarn / Fabric Chem. Processing / Woven Processing / Knit Processing / Denim / Terry Towel / Garment Manufacturing / Marketing / POY / PSF / Texturising / R & D Institutes / Testing Laboratories / Garment Washing / Sewing Threads / Worsted, we can able to place more than 600 students during summer and winter training.
To get the maximum benefits from these rare opportunities, industrial training is very carefully planned. The training programme has following components.
1. Allottment of Training organizations:
During Orientation Lecture students are taught techniques of learning what to learn, how to learn, etc.
2. Orientation Lecture :
During Orientation Lecture students are taught techniques of learning what to learn, how to learn, etc.
3. Industrial Training Schedule:
B.Text. (TT/MMTT/TPE/TC/FT) = 04 Weeks in the month of May / June.
Diploma (DTM/DTT/DFCT) = 04 Weeks in the month of May / June.
4. Daily Diary:
Daily Diary prepared for students is unique feature of DKTE. More than 1000 guideline points are given in this diary. Students undergoing training are required to maintain daily diary regularly in systematic manner.
5. Evaluation:
Evaluation of training performance is done by conducting viva-voce examination by inviting External Examiners having industrial experience.
6. Schedule of Training:
a) Summer May/June of every year.
b) Winter December of every year.
INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP:
Every year around 20 students get Internship Opportunities in textile / machine manufacturing companies like Texmaco P.T. Polysindo Eka Parkasa, Indonesia, Truetzschler, Mayer & Cie, PTMT Panther Italy, Savio Italy, Schoch Italy, Reggani Italy, Denim DE’11 Moritius and in Foreign Universities like Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic & HOF University, Germany.
PRE-PLACEMENT OFFERS (PPO) -Placement Based on Training Performance
Leading organizations select Pre-Final Year students through campus interviews / telephonic / skype interviews for Summer Internship / Project. Very attractive stipend in the range of Rs. 5,000/- to Rs. 60,000/- per month is offered. Final placement offers will be given based on the performance during summer training. Students selected under PPO will be blocked for appearing Campus Interviews.

PLACEMENT PROCEDURE
RULES SET FOR STUDENT ASPIRING FOR JOB
[A] JOB INFORMATION NOTICE
Based on the information submitted by company / organization Job Information Notice will be displayed, containing details of job / plant / location / position / offer / eligibility criteria etc.
[B] REGISTRATION FOR CAMPUS INTERVIEWS
1.Based on Job Information Notice, interested student has to register his name within stipulated time.
2. Once student register his name for campus interviews, he cannot withdraw his name. He has to attend and complete all rounds of interviews. For vary genuine reason name can be withdrawn with written prior intimation and permission from TPO. If reason for withdraw is unsatisfactory then student will not be allowed for appearing next interviews and his name will be deleted from list. Casual approach of the students will not be tolerated.
3. Based on eligible criteria decided by industry / institute shortlisted candidates are allowed to appear for interviews.
[C] DISCIPLINE DURING CAMPUS INTERVIEW
1. Shortlisted student should present 10 minutes before scheduled time with mandatory uniform neat white full shirt / black trousers / black shoes.
2. Students must keep their Identity Card with them during interview process.
3. Maximum Seven opportunities will be given for appearing interviews. Therefore, students are requested to prepare sincerely and appear all rounds of interviews with full preparation.
4. Students once selected are not allowed to appear for other interviews.
[D] SUBMISSION OF OFFER LETTERS
Once the student is selected, he will be blocked for appearing next interviews. Selected students are required to submit photocopy of his offer letter to TPO Office.
[E] CONDITION FOR JOINING
Selected candidates are required to reach the Company / Organization for joining as per the schedule given in offer letter.
[F] COMMITMENT TO THE INSTITUTE
It is expected by Institute / as well as by recruiter that selected candidates are required to work for minimum period of 03 years for earning good reputation for individual as well as for the Institute.
